MS-GTU-PD807 Switchgear Partial Discharge Simulation System
Switchgear Partial Discharge Simulation System (Model: MS-GTU-PD807) is specialized equipment developed by Wuhan Musen Electric Co., Ltd. for teaching and practical research training in the field of electric power engineering. Its core function is to realistically simulate various partial discharge (PD) phenomena that may occur during the operation of high-voltage electrical equipment, such as switchgear. By precisely replicating typical insulation defects—including air-gap discharge, floating-electrode discharge, surface discharge, and particle discharge—the device provides a safe, intuitive, and repeatable experimental platform for courses such as "High Voltage Technology" and "Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis of Electrical Equipment," fully complying with relevant national standards and industry guidelines.
High-Voltage Unit: A partial discharge-free high-voltage source is housed within the cabinet; it feeds the high-voltage signal into the discharge model via an internal coupling capacitor, serving as the core component for generating standard partial discharge signals.
Discharge Model: Replaceable electrodes representing typical discharge types (point-to-plane, floating, air gap, particle, and surface discharge) are mounted on the side of the cabinet. Users can operate an external handle to raise or lower the electrode, making or breaking contact with the internal high-voltage conductor to select and activate specific discharge types for experiments.
Multifunctional Sensor Interface Zone: Integrates interfaces for high-frequency, UHF, and ultrasonic sensors, supporting wiring configurations for simultaneous or comparative training using various partial discharge detection methods, such as pulse current, UHF, and ultrasonic techniques.
Intelligent Control and Display Panel: Consolidates functions including power control, voltage regulation (0–250V input corresponding to 0–30kV output), discharge parameter settings, and displays for voltage and discharge magnitude, all via an intuitive user interface.
Safety Enclosure: Features a fully enclosed all-metal structure that completely encapsulates the high-voltage components, ensuring absolute operator safety. The robust enclosure is dustproof and rainproof, making it suitable for diverse indoor and outdoor teaching environments.
Multi-type discharge simulation: Enables students to intuitively understand and distinguish the physical mechanisms and characteristic differences of four typical types of partial discharge.
Discharge types: Discharge types can be selected and combined at will; parameters such as inception voltage, extinction voltage, and discharge intensity are independently adjustable.
Multi-technology detection training: Supports wiring, measurement, and comparative waveform analysis using various detection methods, including pulse current, UHF, ultrasonic, and HF. Features built-in sensor mounting positions and provides comprehensive signal connection interfaces.
High fidelity and safety: Generates discharge data (≤3pC) that closely mimics the early-stage faults found in real-world equipment, while physically isolating high-voltage hazards.
Utilizes transformer oil insulation and includes an integrated partial-discharge-free high-voltage source; features a fully enclosed design to ensure the safety of instructors and students.
Flexibility and portability: Designed for easy deployment and use in diverse settings, such as classrooms, laboratories, and outdoor training grounds.
Compact, lightweight, and ruggedly constructed; equipped with an outdoor rain cover for excellent environmental adaptability.
