Partial Discharge Testing and Monitoring| Detailed introduction of technical principles

Partial discharge testers are precision instruments used to detect weak, localized discharges within electrical equipment.

Test Principle: The core principle involves using a high-frequency current sensor (HFCT) or coupling capacitance sensor to extract nanosecond-level high-frequency pulse current signals generated by partial discharges from the grounding wire or test circuit of the test object. This weak signal is amplified and converted into a digital signal by a high-speed acquisition unit. The instrument analyzes the signal's amplitude, phase, frequency, and waveform characteristics, comparing and separating them with background noise to identify, locate, and assess the severity of the discharge.

Application Features:
1. High Sensitivity and Interference Resistance: The core function is extracting weak discharge signals (down to the pC level) from strong electromagnetic noise, requiring extremely high-level instrument hardware and algorithms.

2. Non-destructive Diagnosis: Detection can be performed at relatively low voltages, allowing for early detection of insulation defects, making it a key method for preventative testing.

3. Powerful Functions: Features spectral analysis (PRPD spectrum), location, and type identification (e.g., corona discharge, floating discharge) to aid in fault diagnosis.

4. Wide Applications: It is an essential tool for insulation condition assessment and fault diagnosis in the manufacturing, installation, and operation and maintenance of equipment such as transformers, GIS, cables, and motors. Partial discharge testing and monitoring, partial discharge testing (PD testing), partial discharge tester (0-70 dBmV), partial discharge detector (wireless WIFI version).

It can be used for insulation condition detection and assessment of operating high-voltage switchgear, ring main units, voltage/current transformers, transformers (including dry-type transformers), GIS, overhead lines, cables, and other equipment.

It integrates five commonly used sensors: ultrasonic, ground wave, contact ultrasonic, ultra-high frequency, and high-frequency transformers. Flexible switching between sensors can be achieved via commands.

◇ Product Features
* Enables partial discharge detection in almost all high-voltage electrical equipment by configuring different sensors.
* Provides various discharge spectra such as time-domain waveforms, PRPD, and PRPS for analysis of different discharge types.
* The added infrared thermal imager converts the infrared radiation invisible to the naked eye from the surface of an object into a visible image.
* Infrared thermal imaging is unaffected by visible light, offering advantages such as non-contact temperature measurement and smoke/fog penetration, making it ideal for temperature detection in electrical equipment.
