This system is mainly used for testing open-circuit, short-circuit, grounding, low-resistance, high-resistance flashover and high-resistance leakage faults of power cables, as well as for precise testing of open-circuit and short-circuit faults of coaxial communication cables and local telephone cables. It can also measure the speed of radio waves, determine the length of cables, etc., and establish cable files for daily maintenance and management.

The multi-pulse cable fault testing system is a specialized system equipment for power cable fault testing, developed and produced by our company in response to the rapid advancement of the power industry, industry development, and market demand. It is primarily used for testing open circuits, short circuits, grounding, low resistance, high resistance flashover, and high resistance leakage faults in power cables, as well as precise testing of open and short circuit faults in coaxial communication cables and local telephone cables. It can also be used for electric wave speed measurement, cable length determination, and establishing cable archives for daily maintenance and management.

The system primarily comprises five components: a multi-pulse cable fault tester, a pulse signal coupling unit, a cable path detector, an intelligent cable fault precise locator, and a lightweight high-voltage signal generating power supply

The MS-801C Cable Fault Testing System is a specialized equipment for testing power cable faults developed by our company under the impetus of the rapid progress in the power industry. It is based on the industry's development and market demands. The system is mainly used for testing open circuits, short circuits, grounding, low-resistance, high-resistance flashover, and high-resistance leakage faults in power cables, as well as open circuits and short circuits in coaxial communication cables and local telephone cables. It can also measure the speed of electromagnetic waves, determine the length of cables, and establish cable archives for daily maintenance and management.

The system mainly consists of the following four parts:

MS-801C Cable Fault Tester,

MSLJ-100 Cable Path Finder,

MSDD-100 Synchronous Pointing Instrument,

YDJZ-5/50 High Voltage Test Power Supply (Transformer + Operating Box + Capacitor).

 

Functional features

It is used for various faults of power cables of different grades, cross-sections, media and materials of 35kV and below, including open circuit, short circuit, low resistance, high resistance leakage and high resistance flashover faults.

2. It can be used in conjunction with high-voltage equipment to achieve traditional cable fault testing methods such as low-voltage pulse method, impulse flashover method, three-pulse method, multiple-pulse method, and speed measurement method.

3. Industrial-grade touch LCD screen, operation software and user pages in both Chinese and English, sub-menu mode and text prompts can achieve human-computer interaction.

4. The global waveform and local waveform are displayed synchronously, facilitating analysis and detailed adjustment.

5. Any high-resistance fault presents the simplest waveform characteristics similar to those of a low-voltage pulse short-circuit fault, which is extremely easy to interpret.

8. Waveform Analysis: All high-resistance fault waveforms only exhibit the short-circuit fault waveform characteristics of the low-voltage pulse method, which is convenient for analysis and positioning

9. Waveform Processing: It can simultaneously display the waveform of the fault point measured and the full-length open-circuit waveform of the good phase on the screen for on-screen comparison and superimposed comparison, and automatically determine the fault distance

10. Power supply: It is powered by an internal battery and can be continuously supplied for more than 4 hours. It can also be used with an external power supply
