Transformer short-circuit impedance
Transformer short-circuit impedance | Detailed introduction of technical principles
The principle of a transformer short-circuit impedance testing system is to simulate a transformer short-circuit condition under power frequency conditions. By measuring relevant electrical parameters, the short-circuit impedance value is obtained, thereby assessing the winding condition and short-circuit withstand capability.
During testing, the system applies a low power frequency voltage to one side of the transformer (usually the high-voltage side) while reliably short-circuiting the other side. By precisely measuring the current, voltage, and phase angle (or power) between the windings at this time, the short-circuit impedance (Zk), short-circuit reactance (Xk), and resistive loss (Rk) of the windings under this condition can be calculated.
The measured short-circuit impedance percentage (Zk%) is a key inherent parameter of the transformer. By comparing the measured value with the nameplate value or historical data, significant changes can effectively diagnose potential defects such as winding deformation, displacement, or inter-turn short circuits. It also serves as an important basis for verifying the dynamic and thermal stability of the transformer. Transformer Short-Circuit Impedance Tester

This transformer short-circuit impedance testing system utilizes advanced synchronous AC sampling and digital signal processing technology, ensuring accurate and reliable measurement data.
It is an effective tool for transformer testing and analysis, and can also be used for impedance measurement of reactors, transmission lines, and other equipment.

Main Functions and Features
1. Measures transformer short-circuit impedance, short-circuit reactance, short-circuit resistance, and three-phase impedance voltage.
2. Displays parameters such as voltage, current, power, and frequency for each test.
3. Measurements can be completed using only a single-phase 220V AC power supply. In the absence of AC power, a low-power UPS power supply can be used (power supply capacity should be considered based on the test current).
4. Simple and convenient wiring and operation; can use either a single-phase or three-phase test power supply.
5. Automatic frequency correction; eliminates errors caused by frequency fluctuations.
6. Stores 100 measurement results; the instrument has a built-in non-volatile memory for long-term data storage.
7. Large LCD screen with all Chinese character menus and operation prompts; intuitive and convenient.
8. Uninterrupted calendar and clock function.
1. Measurement accuracy: Voltage, current, impedance 0.2% ± 3 digits
2. Power: 0.5% ± 3 digits (cosφ>0.1), 1.0% ± 3 digits (0.01<cosφ≤0.1)
2. Voltage measurement range: AC0-800V
4. Current measurement range: AC0-80A
5. Impedance measurement range: 1Ω-200Ω
6. Dimensions: 350×260×160mm
