The specific workflow is as follows:
1. Simulation: The calibrator incorporates a precisely temperature-controlled metal chamber (simulating the equipment chamber) and a high-precision pressure sensor. The instrument replicates the pressure-temperature relationship of SF6 gas at different densities by adjusting the pressure within the chamber and maintaining it at different temperatures.

2. Applying Excitation and Monitoring: The density relay to be calibrated is connected to this chamber. The instrument gradually changes the chamber pressure according to a pre-set program and monitors the operational status of each pair of contacts (alarm, interlock) in real time.

3. Calculation and Comparison: Based on the built-in SF6 gas temperature-pressure-density characteristic curve, the instrument automatically converts the measured pressure value at the current temperature into the equivalent density value at a standard reference temperature (typically 20℃). By comparing the "equivalent density value" corresponding to the actual operation of the relay contacts with its calibrated value, the performance of the relay can be determined, thus ensuring the accuracy and reliability of its gas leakage monitoring function.
