Partial Discharge Testing and Monitoring
Partial Discharge Testing and Monitoring| Detailed introduction of technical principles
Ultrasonic partial discharge testers perform non-contact fault diagnosis by detecting the ultrasonic signals generated by discharges.
Test Principle: When a partial discharge occurs inside equipment, it instantaneously generates high-frequency sound signals (typically in the 20kHz-300kHz range). The instrument receives these signals through a highly sensitive ultrasonic sensor (probe) and converts them into electrical signals. After amplification, the signal intensity, phase, and mode spectrum are analyzed. Because ultrasonic waves propagate within the solid insulation and casing of the equipment, precise location of the discharge point can be achieved through multi-point detection and signal time-difference analysis.
Application Features:
1. Strong resistance to electromagnetic interference: Unaffected by strong electromagnetic environments, particularly suitable for live-line detection and online monitoring.
2. Precise location: Combined with techniques such as time-difference analysis, it can spatially locate discharge points inside equipment such as GIS, transformers, and cable joints.
3. Sensitivity affected by propagation path: Signal strength is significantly affected by the medium, distance, and structure; typically used for short-range detection and auxiliary qualitative analysis.
4. Safe and Convenient: Enables non-contact, live-line detection, making it a common tool for power equipment condition inspection and fault location. Partial Discharge Testing and Monitoring, Partial Discharge Testing (PD Testing), Partial Discharge Testing Range 0-10000 mV Ultrasonic Partial Discharge Tester. This instrument uses ultra-high frequency ground waves and ultrasonic waves to detect partial discharge. An external ultra-high frequency sensor receives the ultra-high frequency and ultrasonic signals generated by partial discharge within the GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), effectively detecting whether there is discharge inside the equipment.
This new type of partial discharge detector is mainly used to detect partial discharge in switchgear, transformers, cables, GIS, overhead lines, etc., during operation.
It integrates a built-in ultrasonic and ground wave dual-sensor inside the main unit, enabling partial discharge detection of switchgear without the need for external sensors.
This device employs non-invasive detection, requiring no power outages during the testing process. It boasts simple operation and multiple uses.
1. It can be configured with different sensors to detect partial discharge in almost all high-voltage electrical equipment.
2. It provides various discharge spectra, including time-domain waveforms, PRPD, and PRPS, enabling analysis of different discharge types.
3. A user-friendly interface facilitates data management for different devices.
4. It has a built-in ultrasonic sensor and transient ground voltage (TEV) sensor, and can be connected to external sensors for transformers, GIS, overhead lines, cables, etc.
5. The non-invasive detection method eliminates the need for power outages and additional high-voltage sources, making it more convenient than traditional pulse-type partial discharge detectors.
6. The test bandwidth range is 30kHz-2.0GHz.
